Peacefully, on June 3, 2022, Margaret passed away at Fred Douglas Lodge. She was 80 years old.
Margaret was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She married Aubrey Prime, and they continued to live in Winnipeg throughout their lives.
Margaret enjoyed Winnipeg's diverse local festivals and could be found taking pictures with her film camera. She refused to embrace digital cameras and had over 100 photo albums with pictures of her activities. Margaret loved to sing. Visits with her grandchildren always included rounds of "You are my Sunshine" and "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star".
Margaret loved visiting Aubrey's family in Nova Scotia. Her smile was never bigger than when she spent time with Irene and Clyde Neily.
Margaret needed assistance during her later years. Her family sends love and gratitude to the staff of Comforts of Home - particularly to Jaimie- who helped through difficult days. Gratitude and love to the staff of Fred Douglas Lodge who cared for Margaret during the last part of her life. Special hugs to Ron Boyd, Glenn Hayes and John Epp who went above and beyond to be there for Margaret.
Celebration of Life will take place on Tuesday August 6th, 1:00pm at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre. Interment will follow at 2:30 at Brookside Cemetery. For those that can not attend in person the service will be webcast through the Neil Bardal website. www.neilbardalfuneralhome.com
Although you cannot hear her voice
Or see her smile no more,
Margaret walks beside you still
As she always did before.
It's just she isn't visible
to see with human eye,
but talk to her in silence
and her spirit will reply.
