WAYNE (GIBBY) GIESBRECHT January 1, 1944 - October 6, 2015 After a long battle with Alzheimer, Wayne peacefully passed away in Vancouver with his family by his side. He leaves to cherish his memory sister Darlene, and nephew Darryl of Winnipeg, his children Brydon, Chris, Jordon and Kyla, grandchildren, Mabel, Isaac and Mathais. He was predeceased by his folks, Ben and Bernice. A private service will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society. "May the wind always be at your back And the sun always guide your way."

Grew up 4 doors away from Gibbys house on Magnus Avenue. I knew he would make it big in football when he broke my collar bone when he tackled me while playing football, with no equipment, between his house as a 15 year old, also played 1 year of hockey with him at CPAC.

4 of us straight from winning the WHSF CHAMPIONSHIP ( 1963 SISLER SPARTANS ) , went to WAYNES house. about 1/2 hr. later WAYNES' dad comes home with a six pack. he didn't know us 4 guys were there. so here we are , 4 guys drinking 6 beers replaying the gamre in our heads. WAYNES' dad gladly gave us his beer & he headed to bed. simple,but great times . thanks GIBBY, we miss you. SUDSY
