About	My bff, April, survived 57 years despite decades of Crohn's disease. She survived throat cancer. She survived a second cancer that attacked her. She just didn't have the strength to beat it for a third time. She is at Independence Cemetery with her mother and father, both of whom I loved like a second family. I have lost a true friend. May God keep her until we meet again. Love, "Shirl The Pearl", as her dad nicknamed me.
