About Me	December 19, 2013: Al and I have lived in Billings since 1989. Al has worked at Hi Mile Tire since 1989 and has been managing that store for the past 13 years. I've worked at St. Vincent Healthcare for 24 years. In August of 2010 I transferred into the Pharmacy to serve as their Technology Analyst. I'd previously spent 15 years in the field of Clinical Engineering and Medical Equipment Management - so my focus was maintenance and repair of patient diagnostic and therapeutic systems along with new technology assessment and accreditation activities. My work in the Pharmacy now affords me the opportunity to focus on safety systems for medication administration and medication error reduction. It is very interesting and rewarding work. Al and I have two daughters. Amanda just turned 26 and lives in Seattle WA. In the spring of 2011 she graduated from the University of Washington Tacoma, Milgard School of Business with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration. She works as a Staff Accountant on the Finance Team in the Central Office for Mars Hill Church in Seattle. Meagan turned 24 in May, presently lives in Billings, and she received her bachelor's degree in Business Management from Montana State University Billings. She presently works as a Property Tax Associate for GE Capital. In In August of 2011 she started dating a fine young fellow named Greg Ferriter. He grew up in Butte, MT and works at Wells Fargo Bank. We all have really enjoyed getting to know him and having him around. I recently experienced a turn of events in my life, which began on October 10, 2013. While at my desk in the pharmacy at St. Vincent Healthcare, I had a seizure, and fortunately, our Pharmacy Clinical Manager, JoEllen found me. She immediately activated our in-house emergency response team, who transported me to the Emergency Department. A CT scan and MRI revealed a malignant (cancerous) tumor in my brain, about the size of a ping pong ball, as well as a non-cancerous fibroid tumor in my uterus. The CT scan and MRI results confirmed no satellite tumors and that the tumor was primary and centralized to the right posterior side of my brain. I underwent surgery to remove the tumor on Saturday, October 12th, and then I was discharged from the hospital on Monday October 14th. Now begins my journey to find more answers and to determine where I go from here.
