Biographical Sketch of Rev. Dr. Philip W. Chapman Rev. Dr. Philip W. Chapman graduated with Honors from the University of Illinois in January, 1974. He attended the University of South Carolina from which he earned Masters of Criminal Justice graduating Cum Laude and as a Distinguished Honor Graduate of the College of Criminal Justice in 1988. Reverend Chapman also attended The Chicago Theological Seminary and earned a Doctor of Ministry Degree in 1978. Doctor Chapman served as an Ordained as Minister of the United Church of Christ for over thirty years. Ordained in 1978, Dr. Chapman served his country as a US Army Chaplain and served twenty years as a Chaplain for the Federal Bureau of Prisons. He currently serves as Chaplain for the Post 439, Lee Iten, and American Legion in Highland, IL. and as Pastor of Zion Evangelical Church in Central City, Il. WGEL 101.7 Greenville, Il features Dr. Chapman’s messages on Sunday mornings on the “Lamp unto my Feet†radio program. Reverend Chapman recently celebrated his “Silver Wedding Anniversary†with his wife Melissa Snyder Chapman. Married in 1984 they are blessed with two children.
