Classmates: So, Claudia would like to see as many classmates and friends as she can before heading back to the west coast. May I also add that if any other classmates are leaving this area, then please let us know either by reply to all or to me and come. Please share this with other year classes who may know Claudia or would like to mingle with us. It is the usual pay as you go, but there may be a nice surprise at about 3 pm. A few classmates ask why we do it at Seibel's all the time? To explain I have looked into the Green Turtles, Timbuktu, and other restaurants. I find that Seibel's gives us much more private space and support than other restaurants. They also always work with us as we never know how many people are attending. I have used them for personal parties because of that flexibility.

A Great Big Hello from your Reunion Committee. We hope that everyone is doing as well as can be, and enjoying 2016. Please spread this around to all the classmates that you know and see if they got the word. We had 40 people attend the 46th at Seibels last June, and it was fun. We are trying to have Mr. Dauberman come again along with Mr. Connor and any other teacher you know. It is neat that we have a fellow classmate who retired as a teacher at Sherwood. We will put this on Facebook and other sites, but nothing beats” Word of Mouth".
We want to discuss all possibilities like cruises, sky jumping, and other things that classmates could want do. The Waredeca idea that Ed Burke provided could be one of these events to do. We received a few responses about this idea, so we decided to book Seibels for this year. Seibels was there when we were in high school and the 2 owners try to accommodate us as much as possible. So let 2016 be a very good year to everyone and we will see you at Seibels on June 11, 2016 at 2pm until 6pm (or later). Be sure to bring 6 quarters with you.
We wanted to share an email from Andrea about the challenges that Phyllis Pilcher is facing now We hope to have her come to the 47th reunion. She is one of the most inspiring people you can meet. Please share any challenges that anyone is facing.
Doug and I both were trying to call Phyllis without success. Doug talked with Phyllis' caregiver and now so have I. I met her the year of our 45th Reunion when I took Phyllis home to Baltimore and stayed over for church. Phyllis is in the hospital where they found she was filled with fluid all around the heart. They thought her time was near but she has gotten better. She will go to rehab when they get back the results of biopsy on kidneys to see if she needs dialysis or chemo or what. The caregiver found her in bed, breathing funny, not feeling good, but still ok and called 911 the next morning.
So we are requesting prayers. In a week or so I will call the cg to check in. I don't think Phyllis would be at home to answer her phone but cg will be taking her mail to the hospital or rehab. New address since the Reunion Booklet. She is fully blind but how nice to hear from friends: 6101 Loch Raven Blvd., Apt. 103, Baltimore MD 21239.

We are also going to meet on Friday evening, June 19th from 7-10 pm at the Urban BBQ in the heart of Sandy Spring. The restaurant's address is 805 Olney Sandy Spring Road (Rt. 108).
We believe that Mr. Connor, Mr. Behanna, Mr. Dauberman, and Mr. Crutchfield will be joining us. There is also a possibility that other teachers will be stopping by too. Mr. Dauberman hopes that Larry Rollins and many other wrestlers will attend. Hey Warriors and Warriorettes:
Since sending out the reunion invitation, the committee discovered we can hold our event at Seibel’s Restaurant in Burtonsville. Yes, the same Seibel’s that some of us went to during our high school years. It is still at the same location on Route #198 in Burtonsville (15540 Old Columbia Pike, Burtonsville, MD 20866).
The neat thing is that we are able to keep the event "admission free." Food and drink will be able to be purchased during the reunion. The times remain the same: 2 pm - 8 pm. If classmates want to stay past 8 pm, or come before 2 pm, they are certainly welcome to do so.
Seibel’s has completed a major renovation. They have enlarged their facilities and added an outdoor sitting and dining area. We will have surround sound music along with their Old Town Bar available. Like most restaurants there are good reviews and some bad ones. Diane and I have been told by friends how much they like Seibel’s. They found their steam shrimp, wings, mac and cheese, sweet potato fries, dogs and burgers very tasty. Here is the website so that you can check out the menu and get the directions to Seibel’s (seibelsrestaurant.com).
As with our 8 previous reunions, food takes a minor role compared to the fun we have seeing and sharing with each other. It is always tough to get us to stop talking to present the fifteen minute program which will still happen at the same time as previously stated (5:00 pm). So spread the word to all your classmates and be ready for another great time!

Your 25 year Sherwood High School Reunion is just around the corner! We’re holding the event on October 2nd from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm at High Point Farm in Clarksburg, MD. The farm is located just 1 mile north of the Route 121 exit off I270. Please, only 1985 Sherwood graduates and their families. The ticket prices are $40 for adults and $20 for children ages 4-12. The ticket price includes lots of food, beer/wine, DJ, athletic activities (bring your softball mits and bats) and, of course, hours of fun with your classmates! You must purchase your tickets by the deadline of 9/18/10. We can’t accommodate walk-ins. Please make checks payable to Maria Meyer and mail them to P.O. Box 301, Boyds, MD 20841 by 9/18/10. Be sure to include your phone number, the names of everyone in your group and the ages of the kids that are coming, if any. If anyone in your party would like a vegetarian meal, please indicate how many.
