About Randolph H. Gibbon (1951-2008): On a sadder note, Randy Gibbon was just released from the hospital after going through colon cancer surgery that has spread to 80% of his liver. He's home now, but I don't think the prognosis is overly good. If you're in touch with anyone who might be interested in this info, please pass it along. Look forward to any updates. Thanks, Steve Ross
Full Name: RANDOLPH H GIBBON, Date of Birth: August 20, 1951, Date of Death: August 30, 2008, Country of Birth: United States, Biography: Randolph Gibbon, 57, was the most beloved father of Abigail, husband of Leslie, and brother of Chris Cusimano. His many passions included listening to music, gardening, woodworking, collecting antique furniture and machinery, caring for his dogs, and making annual pilgrimages to Cape Hatteras, where he fished with his lifelong friends. For many years he worked at the Brooke Grove Plant Farm and was later a licensed engineer working in the laundry industry. He was not only a wonderful father to Abby, but also her best friend, sharing her great love of horses and attending all of her innumerable lessons and competitions. Chris enjoyed their phone conversations and visits, as he was always so caring. Auctions were another favorite pastime, and he and Leslie took many weekend trips to Adamstown, PA, in search of good deals. In 2006 Leslie and Randy traveled to Europe to visit Abby, who was there on a student visa. Together they visited the street markets of London and the gardens of Versailles. He was, in the opinion of his daughter and amongst a myriad of other fine qualities, the World’s Greatest Dad. He is missed more than words can express. Donations can be made in his name to the United States Pony Clubs, www.ponyclub.org 859-254-7669. There will be a celebration of his life at his home on Saturday Sept. 27th at 2 pm. Please take a moment to share a memory of Randy with us.
