Obituary for Patricia Ann Newell (Patty Grubbs): Patricia Ann Newell was born March 16, 1951, in Washington D.C. to Chester Charles Grubbs and Theresa Louise (Gorab) Grubbs. She passed from this life on Monday, April 15, 2019, in Owasso, OK, at the age of 68 years. Patricia was raised and educated in Sandy Spring, MD and graduated with the Sherwood High School class of 1969. After high school she attended classes at Montgomery College in Rockville and transferred to the University of Maryland in Baltimore, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture. Patricia was married May 26, 2005, in Claremore, OK to Gerald Dean Newell. She spent most of her working life as an Environmental Planner, which she spent 10 years with the Corp of Engineers in Tulsa, OK. Patricia enjoyed a variety of past times such as gardening, cooking, feeding birds, and loving on her 4 dogs, Rose, Molly, Annie and Gracy. Doreen Preville and husband Dean, of Urbana, MD. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Theresa.
