30 Year Reunion

Can you believe it's been 30 years? It seems like yesterday when we were cheering each other on in our sports, and hanging out at Papa's Pizza after the football games. After 30 years, we think it would be fun to carve out a moment to chat with some of the people that we were friends with back then, and remember our days of growing up in Eugene. We have decided that we are kind of beyond making our reunions a big, programmed event. People are busy, especially with this beautiful summer weather! However, it HAS been 30 years, and that is something to celebrate! For those that are interested and able to reminisce and reconnect, here is the final plan: Friday, August 10: We will meet at B2 Wine bar in Crescent Village from 6:00-9:00. No host cocktails. They have a wonderful menu if you're hungry. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair because they are having a free outdoor movie that night: Casablanca. For those of us that have been to other reunions, we usually agree that the "mixer" before the planned events often the most fun! Saturday, August 11: We decided that instead of meeting at Oregon Electric Station, it would be fun to take a walk down memory lane and relive those Sheldon days for an afternoon. We will meet at Sheldon at 11:00am where the school will be open for tours. Check out the new football field, the front doors, and lots of other changes. We can take pictures of the rock (which has been moved), sit on "the wall" and see many of the other things we have always told our kids about. Then, we can walk to Dairy Queen, Mcdonald's, or wherever people used to sneak off to between classes. Of course, it wouldn't be right if we didn't end up at Papa's Pizza. We will gather there for beer and pizza at 1:00pm. For those of you that don't still live in Eugene, you will feel like you are walking back in time. It is exactly the same!! From there, you can head out to do some of the fun stuff happening in Eugene (document attached) that weekend or we can hit a new spot nearby, called "Sidebar". We hope that parts, or all of this low key weekend will work for some of you. We will stick pretty closely to the times we will be at each place, so if you can only do one of them, you will know where we will be.
