About Me	After college got lucky and worked for a large travel company. Traveled four Midwestern states presenting travelogues and escorting tours to Hawaii. After working for the company for four years I did end up back in KC working for TWA as a sales representative, Training travel agents In Omaha, KC and St Joseph Mo. Really loved the job but I was never home and I got really tired of KC ( no Beach and the Lake of the Ozarks too far away with no descent jobs). Those that knew me, you know I loved the water!! So I up and moved to Daytona Beach, Florida where I got into Radio sales for a couple of years. This is where I met my husband. We left Florida in 83 but made a decision to move back when we decided to start a family. My husband can commute, he works for US Airways as an international pilot. In fact I even got my private license when I lived in KC...thanks Dad. Both of my sisters are pilots with United and my brother in law works for UPS. Any of the big jets like the 767, 777 or the A330 are flown by my family members. Jeff and I have been happily married WOW... for over 31 years!! Hard to believe it! Since 911, I went back to work for a large DME company. I was there for 5 years as their trainer and manager over the medical coordinating department. They unfortunately, folded but fortunately for me, I ended up taking a job as the Director of Community Development and PR for the Center for the Visually Impaired. I was working with the Blind and visually impaired and traveled four counties representing the Center. I even did most of their fundraising. I stayed with the agency for over 5 years but retired to become a caregiver to my mother (87) and another friend of the family who is (88). Its been very rewarding and they are doing well. We have one son attending FSU who aspires to be a doctor. He is graduating in August 2014. He is an awesome young man. We love living in Florida and have done so for over 25 years. Nothing better than the sun on our faces, a balmy breeze, billowy clouds, blue green seas, a cool drink and Jimmy Buffet songs to make us happy. We are LTD daily!! Someone asked me if I ever missed KC. I think it was a great place to grow up. We had so much to do outside that was fun! Two years ago I began a repurposing furniture business. ( little business) but sooo much fun. Love to repaint furniture in coastal décor. I do post some of my treasures on FB .Still hope to make it to the next reunion. Haven't made one yet!!
