Kelli Renee Schobelock, aged 62, passed away on July 1, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on June 26, 1963, in Alliance, Ohio. Kelli was known for her warmth, generosity, and outgoing nature which touched the lives of everyone she knew.
Kelli’s life was notable for her devotion to her family and friends. She was the cherished wife of Mike Schobelock and a loving mother to Kyrbi Murray (Tim) and stepmother to Adam (Mandy) Schobelock and Alex (Sydney) Schobelock. Kelli loved and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren Lily, Braylon, Hayden, Amelia, Harrison, Eleanor and Emerson who lovingly called her Grammy. She was very close with her nieces and nephews, Tobias, Geno and Karmen DiBiase. Her family was the most important thing in her life, and she was a mama bear to all her kids and grandchildren.
Kelli graduated from high school at Shawnee High School in Springfield, Ohio and attended classes at Mt. Vernon Nazarene University in Columbus, Ohio. She had a certificate as a project manager from Xavier University, a certificate in marketing and public relations from NYU and attended classes at the University of Phoenix. She worked as a communications and public relations specialist at Roxane Laboratories in Columbus, Ohio from 1998 to 2008 and was a Senior Director of Recruiting at MD Wells & Associates.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kylene Young, her sister Kyra DiBiase, her brother Eric Payne and her parents James and Betty Payne.
Kelli’s hobbies included cooking, reading, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed planning activities for her family, such as organizing festive holiday gatherings, arranging memorable family trips, and hosting joyful birthday parties. In everything she did, Kelli always went above and beyond to ensure everyone felt cherished and cared for. Doing things for her family was her labor of love, and she never hesitated to put their happiness first. One of her strongest assets was her ability to enjoy life to its fullest and make sure that everyone around her enjoyed it as well.
Kelli’s enduring legacy will always be her love for her family and friends. She will be in our hearts and minds forever.
