About With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Tanya Jean Pettigrew, who passed away peacefully at home on October 10, 2025, in Gig Harbor, WA. Born in Longview, Washington on December 17, 1946, to Howard and Dorothy McGee, Tanya was a shining beacon of love, warmth, and kindness, whose memory will forever be etched in the hearts of all who knew her.

Tanya was a woman of grace, resilience, and beauty. Her vibrant spirit was infectious to those around her. She married her High School Sweetheart, Harold Pettigrew, on September 26, 1965. Their bond, enduring and pure, was a testament to their unwavering love. Tanya's professional life was every bit as remarkable as her personal one. Over the course of her life, she was employed in verity of professional roles, all of at which she excelled. She had a warm smile, personable demeanor, and unwavering dedication. Living in Gig Harbor, Washington for the past 16 years, she made a significant impact on the community with her generous spirit.

Tanya leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her devoted husband Harold, of Gig Harbor. Her Daughter Penne of Bremerton, WA and her son Collin of Las Vegas, NV. Her Son Kenneth and his wife Cindy and their 3 children Deidra, Vicki and Elsa of Hillsboro, OR. Her Daughter Kimberley of Gig Harbor, WA. Each of her children embody Tanya's spirit, reflecting her kindness, compassion, and zest for life. She is preceded in death by her parents Howard and Dorothy McGee. Tanya was our light in the darkness and supporter to Harold for 60 years providing stability for the family with love and caring and will be sorely missed but we know she is at peace now. We think of her every day and will miss having her with us each day.
