About	John passed away on Thursday July 27th. He was born on December 13th, 1963, in Greeley Colorado to Robert and Suzanne Dietz. John was a graduate of Chico State University and made his living in the Flyfishing Industry. He was a long-time employee of the Fly Shop in Redding. One of Johns passions in life was music where he participated in several Shasta High School Musical and starred his senior year as Emil Debeck in South Pacific. He is survived by his father Bob Dietz, his sister Kari Pantiskas and his two nephews'. Andrew Pantiskas of Juneau, Alaska and Matthew Pantiskas of Seattle, Washington. He will miss his beloved cats, Howard and Hoss.

John was a naturally talented singer and a wonderful person to be around. I played Lt. Cable in South Pacific with him and in the quartet in Music Man. I am shocked to hear about his passing as of 2/5/24. I played cello in the Shasta Symphony with his mom, Sherri, a violinist. I later sang operas in San Francisco, but Jon is someone I always looked up to. RIP, my singing brother!
