1965 received trained as an Electronics Technician, 1966-1970 Worked on the Gemini and Apollo Programs at Patrick AFB, FL, 1971-1976 Conducted research for Missile Silo hardening techniques while stationed at Kirtland AFB, NM, 1976-1985 Conducted enviromentsl research in cockpits of the F-4, A-10, OV-10, F-15, F-16, and B-1 to provide Pilots a safe working enviroment while stationed at Brooks AFB, TX.

Commissioned through ROTC at (then) SMS in Springfield in 1971. Entered active duty in 1973 after earning my Masters Degree in Mathematics. Served almost 23 years active duty in a variety of stateside and oversea assignments. Retiired as a Regular Army Lieutenant Colonel.

Mable Ida Irwin, 87, of Independence Mo., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012.
Our Seymour High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Seymour High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated. All of us in Seymour are proud of our military alumni and want to thank them for risking their lives to protect our country!
