Wade Hampton Holt Jr.
Class of 1966
Army, 10 Years
Enlisted in Jul 1967, was an enlisted rank in the Field Artillery for a year. Got to go to the Field Artillery Officer Candidate School and graduated as a 2nd lieutenant. Went to Helicopter Flight School out of OCS and graduated. With through Cobra Gunship transition and went to Nam from Oct 1969 to Oct 1970. Earned Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star (2, one with a "V" device), 28 air medals (2 with a "V" device), Army Commendation medal, Good Conduct medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service medal (with 3 clusters), Presidential Unit Award, and a Meritorious Unit Award.
