| About Me | i AM RETIRED. AS A HIGH SCHOOLER i WAS A PITCHER IN 1953 UNDEFEATED WITH A 12-0 RECORD WITH NISKAYUNA POST 1092 WINNING THE NYS AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL TITLE IN 1953 AT COOPERSTOWN. DURING MY 2 YEARS OF PITCHING AT NOTT TERRACE I HAD A RECORD OF 8-0 AS WE WON THE CLASS A LEAGUE TITLE IN 1954. I WAS FORTUNATE TO EARN A BASEBALL SCHOLARSHIP TO AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE (SPRINGFIELD,MA) WHERE I PITCHED WITH SOME SUCCESS FOR 3 YEARS. I ALSO PLAYED SEMI-PRO BASEBALL IN ALL STAR TOURNAMENTS UNTIL MY EARLY 30'S. I NOW ENJOY PLAYING GOLF, GOING TO SARATOGA RACES IN AUGUST AND GOING TO MY GRANDCHILDEN'S SCHOOL TO WATCH THEIR EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES ESPECIALLY THEIR SPORTING EVENTS. i AM ALSO A MEMBER OF SCHENECTADY OLE TIMERS BASEBALL CLUB WITH OVER 100 FORMER ATHLETES A GROUP OF 30 USUALLY MEET FOR BREAKFAST TWICE A MONTH FOR FELLOWSHIP AND SPORTS TALK.WE ALSO HAVE A PICNIC AND CHRISTMAS PARTY WHIC THERE ARE U...(read more) |
