Edward Stephen Sternberger OBITUARY
Edward Stephen Sternberger, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on March 25 with his wife at his side. He was born in the Bronx, NY to Arthur and Frieda Sternberger and died in Newport Beach, CA. His hometown was Scarsdale, NY and he kept his boyhood friends all his life. Their yearly high school reunions were a cause for celebration and Steve last attended the 68th. Steve was drafted out of college during the war in Vietnam and served in the army leaving him with a lifetime of admiration for veterans. He finished his bachelor’s at American University and began a distinguished career as the executive of multiple companies in Hawaii, on the mainland and even in Canada. His hobbies included sailing and his roadster, but he would say that his greatest achievement was raising his two sons alone. I will forever miss his coming through the door with “Hi there.” Services will be held at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills on April 8.
