Tracy Anderson Ferrara
Class of 1979
National Guard, 22 Years
I joined the California Army National Guard right out of high school. I spent the majority of my career with a medical unit in San Francisco that was downsized and reorganized over the years. We started as the 146th Combat Support Hospital in San Francisco and ended up as the 297th Medical Company in San Mateo. My final year I worked at Camp San Luis Obispo preparing and coordinating Non-Commissioned Officer training. I retired as a Sergeant First Class after 22 years of service. My husband served with me many of those years. He is currently a Chief Warrant Officer 4 and has 39 years of service in the California Army National Guard.
