Wounded in Vietnam shortly after arrival.
Survived for several years. Died from complications of head wound.

Wounded by sniper while standing in ranks just days after arriving in Vietnam. Had to learn how to talk and read again. Got married late in life and moved to Lawton, Oklahoma where he passed away while riding an ATV.

I have known Ed since La Cumbre JH in 1959. He was a good friend through SBHS and beyond.. I lost track of him when I went into the Army as Ed did also. I met up with Ed at one of the early class of 63 reunions. Over the years at class reun ions we would have conversations about the old days and it was all good. He went to Viet Nam for LBJ and left something behind, like so many others that went over there and never came back or like Ed came back but left something of himself there. He had a long life and I do so hope that Ed could enjoy, as best he could, his life Ed was a friend and to say I am saddened by his passing. Another hole in my heart. )o:
