I am a 1966 graduate of SMHS, and then graduated from the University of Colorado (1970-BS in Spanish and Latin American Studies). I obtained my MBA (1982) from Boston College with a concentration in Marketing and my DBA in Business Policy and Strategy (1992) from Boston University. I served on the faculty as an Assistant then Associate Professor of Strategy & Policy teaching both entrepreneurship and strategic management for 17 years. In 2005 I moved to Babson College as the Paul T. Babson Chair in Entrepreneurship, Director of the Arthur M. Blank Entrepreneurship Center and Chair of the Entrepreneurship Division (department). In September of this year, I was honored to receive an Honorary Doctorate of Philosophy in Business and Economics from Jonkoping University, in Jonkoping, Sweden. This honor recognized my 30 years of research in entrepreneurship. Importantly, my husband of 38 years, David Brush, (CU Denver, 1971, Business) was able to attend the ceremony, but our three daughters were not able to make the trip.
