Mr. Phillips was just an awesome teacher. I had him for Plane & Solid Geometry my sophomore year. He often had me doing proofs for the class on the blackboard. Sometimes I'd get stuck and make an unsupported assumption that turned out to be correct which he called an Algerism and I'd hear Mr. Phillips booming voice from the back of the class loudly proclaiming "You can't DO that!!!"
