About Me	My life has had its normal ups and downs. I made traffic buttons (those bumps in the middle of the streets) for a group of time. I did a lot of leaf raking for the City of Seattle Park Department as a temporary laborer. I cooked professionally for years and was a breakfast, lunch, and a dinner cook. I was a saucier (Golden Lion), a sous chef and a chef. I was an actor in a made for TV movie entitled "The Secret Life of John Chapman". I operated the computers at Boeing for the 737 and 747 testing. I ran computers at Cape Canaveral for the early Apollo flights and on an atoll in the South Pacific (Kwajalein) for early, early star wars testing. I operated Simpson Timber's computer and eventually went into programming at Simpson. I've developed and maintained computer applications as a developer, a DBA and an analyst for 30+ years. I was part of a geographically dispersed team that defined the processes, procedures, and job aids used across my last corporate America employer (EDS) to manage projects and develop software. I took early retirement a group of years ago and now build MS Office based tools because I can and I like the challenge albeit it usually not a big challenge. Doing so can be likened to a jigsaw puzzle for me. I developed and maintain a website for people who are caregivers of people with Parkinson's Disease. These people need all the support they can get. For fun I read science fiction and learn new programming languages (ASP.Net is my latest). The hardest thing about learning a new computer language is figuring out what to build. My wife blesses me tremendously. She is truly my Beloved. The Trev, my son, is a constant source of pride...(read more)
