Dr. Carlos Slawson
Class of 1987
Dr. Carlos Slawson is a 1987 graduate of Salmen High and a professor of finance at Louisiana State University. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Southern Missisippi and a master’s and doctoral degree in business administration from the University of Georgia.
He holds the 2000-2001 Erich Sterbern Foundation Award for Excellence in Teaching, the Latter & Blum Distinguished Professorship of Real Estate, and the 2003 Edward Donald Grant Educator Award. He is the associate director of LSU’s Real Estate Research Institute.
