James O'Byrne
Class of 1978
James O’Byrne, is a 1978 graduate of Salmen High and a 1982 graduate of Louisiana State University who currently serves as The Times-Picayune’s features editor and the director of NOLA.com, the newspaper’s web-site.
O’Byrne has worked as a writer and editor for the newspaper for 27 years and has won several journalism awards. He shares in the honor of serving on teams that were recipients of three Pulitzer Prizes (1997 and 2006).
