About Me	I retired in 1991, after serving as the CEO of various sports arenas/convention centers/exhibit facilities/performing arts centers in WV, PA, IN, GA, ME, TN. In 1975, I was a charter member of the Board of Governors of the Hall of Fame for Track and Field. In retirement, I am a self-proclaimed "neighborhood advocate" and created an anti-litter group of citizen volunteers that now numbers over 4,200 citizens who have pledged to keep the block on which they live free and clear of litter, including cigarette butts. I am proud to have been a recipient of the 2006 National Jefferson Award for Outstanding Public Service. I am currently a member of the board of directors of the Huntington-Cabell Coalition for the Homeless, a past chairperson of the City of Huntington Human Relations Commission, a past member of the executive committee of the Cabell County Chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and a past citizen member ...(read more)
