John Charles Fitch, 68, of Concord, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the loving and devoted husband of Carolyn Kidd Fitch for 47 years.
Born in Wheeling, West Virginia on Oct. 6, 1942, he was a son of the late John Robert Fitch and June Hawes Fitch and was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Katelyn Ruth Fitch and a brother, Wilbur Fitch.
He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and Academy of Model Aeronautics.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, John (Deborah) Lawrence Fitch, of Winchester, Karl (Sharon) Richard Fitch, of Greenbrier, Tenn.; a brother, Robert Howard Fitch, of Saint Albans, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jeremiah, John Caleb and Rebekah.
