| About Me | Plenty. I joined the Air Force in June of 1972, and met my future husband at Sheppard AFB, Texas in September of 1972 while I was attending training for my career field. We were married two month later (what can I say, we were meant for each other) and have been together ever since. I got out of the Air Force in November of 1973, two months before I gave birth to my first child, and did not return to active duty. My husband stayed in the Air Force and retired after 20 years. So, he is a veteran. We were stationed at the Air Force Academy (1973-1977), Wiesbaden, Germany (1977-1981), Minot, ND (1981-1984), Luke AFB, Phoenix (1984-1988) and then again at Wiesbaden, Germany for the final three years (1988-1991).
