About	Peter “Pete” Muirhead was born to Frank and Eileen Margaret (Allen) Muirhead on June 20, 1946 in Richmond Hill, Long Island, NY and departed this life in Iowa Park, TX on October 21, 2014 at the age of 68 years, 4 months and 1 day. Pete grew up in Copiague, Long Island, NY, graduating from Sachem High School at Lake Ronkonkoma, Long Island in 1964. He joined the United States Air Force in October 1964 and served his country honorably for 20 years, retiring in October of 1984. He married Judy Kay Thomas on December 19, 1970 at Walters, OK. Through the years he was stationed at Lackland AFB, Texas, Chanute AFB, Illinois, Hickam AFB, Hawaii, Clark AFB, Philippines, Tinker AFB, OK, Ydorn Royal Tia AB, Republic of Thailand, Shore AFB, South Carolina, Sheppard AFB, TX, Moody AFB, Georgia, Spangdahlem AB, Germany and back to Moody AFB in Valdosta, GA. Following his time in the service they made their home at Walters, OK where they finished raising their boys. Pete soon landed a job with American Airlines but after 8 months went to work at Sheppard Air Force Base where he was employed from April of 1985 to April of 2012. He was an aircraft technician and then an aircraft inspector for the last 8 years. He and Judy have made their home in Iowa Park, TX since1997. He had coached all ages of boy’s baseball and enjoyed gardening and traveling. Pete was a member of the First Baptist Church, Wichita Falls, TX and had served as a Deacon and taught Royal Ambassadors at First Baptist Church in Walters. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Frank Phillip Muirhead. Survivors include his wife Judy of the home; 3 sons, Bryan Scott Muirhead and wife Maria of Devol, OK, Phillip Michael Muirhead and wife Becky of Haverhill, MA, Peter Thomas Muirhead and wife Michelle of The Woodlands, TX; 3 daughters, Carolyn, Kara and Chevy; a brother, John Muirhead of Atlanta, GA; 2 sisters, Annie Parker of Florida and Elizabeth Muirhead of Virginia; 15 grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.
