Carolyn J. Beaver, 61, of Indianapolis, died Tuesday, March 27, 2001, at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis.
Born Dec. 25, 1939, she was the daughter of Herman L. and Minnie (Edens) Poe.
She had lived most of her early life in Rush County. She graduated from Rushville High School in 1958.
On Feb. 16, 1962, she married Ivan Duane Beaver; he survives.
She was a member of the Rawles Avenue Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include sons, Jeffrey of Shelbyville, James of Washington and Daniel Beaver of Lafayette; sisters, Lois Smiley of Georgia and JoAnn (Mrs. Donald) Jackson of Beech Grove; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Moster & Cox Mortuary in Rushville, with Pastor Robert Hamilton officiating.
Burial will take place at the Orange North Cemetery in Fayette County.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Rush County Community Foundation, or to the charity of your choice.
