Kathy was career Navy, which pleased our grandfather, who had retired as rear admiral, and our father, who served along with his future father in law on the USS Enterprise at Midway and many other battles in the south pacific. When she retired, she moved to Whidbey island, where she bought property and built a house, which is now occupied by the family of her niece AngieKathy passed away at the age of 59. leaving a son, Dave Avery, who is a minister and operates his own church in Fort Meyers Florida.
