About	Nathan Edward Knox, 20, of Peoria, IL, transitioned from this life to his heavenly home at 11 p.m. on Friday, July 23, 2021, at Jackson North Medical Center in North Miami Beach, Florida. Nathan was born on January 17, 2001, in Peoria, IL, to Donald and Shalonda (McGruder) Knox. Nathan was educated in Peoria District 150 Schools, graduating from Richwoods High School with honors in 2019. Nathan was a student at Illinois Central College in East Peoria. He was an Eagle Scout and played football at Richwoods High School. Nathan loved to play video games and read social media. He loved his family. He enjoyed family events, where he was always the life of the party with his contagious laugh and beautiful smile. Nathan leaves to cherish his most precious memories, his parents, Donald and Shalonda Knox of Peoria, IL; one sister, Mariah McCarther of Chicago, IL; maternal grandparents, Jeanette Harris and Mark King, both of Peoria, IL; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Donald Knox Sr. and Casslene Knox. Funeral services for Nathan will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at St. Paul Baptist Church. Pastor Deveraux Hubbard will officiate. Nathan will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery.
