PEORIA - Gerald A. "Jerry" Morris of Clearwater, Fla., formerly of Peoria, passed away Monday, Jan. 9, 2012.
He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and an avid athlete, competing in several marathons from Tennessee to Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bob, and his brother, Ron.

Almost every memory I have at Richwoods included Jerry Morris and Bill Russel. I was so very happy I was able to attend the 30th RCHS reunion and was able two spend a lot of time remembering and telling stories. I was in the process of planning a trip to Tampa to visit with him and his wife, but he passed away before I was able to get time off of work. Jerry was my best friend and as close to me as a brother. I miss him to this day.
