| About Me | Always wanted to be an airline pilot. To get there "the plan" was go to the U.S. Air Force Academy, then pilot training, serve my 8 years, then fly for the airlines. Got a bit sidetracked and ended up serving 28 years in the Air Force. One of six chosen by the Air Force Chief of Staff to interview as the Air Force Aide to the President and carry the "nuclear football" for a few years ... thank heavens I didn't get the job at that time...a story for another day. Got to fly more than 2200 hours in the KC-135 (flying gas station, refuels other planes) and being an Instructor Pilot in the B-1 bomber.
