The Richardson High School from Richardson in Texas has the eagle as its mascot and it's one of the most popular high schools in this city. This educational institution has a history of nearly 130 years and it can accommodate up to 2,700 students every year. It focuses on a plethora of educational programs such as visual arts, theater, robotics, law, computer science, and more. In 2009, the students of this high school created a public magazine known as "The Talon", a written work that focuses on the programs offered at the Richardson High School and the numerous development opportunities available to alumni enrolled here. Notable accomplishments of this school include the National Blue Ribbon School awarded in 1983 and the Men's & Women's Soccer Champions awarded in 1985. Additionally, the Richardson High School was the only educational institution in the Richardson Independent School District that earned seven distinctions in the STAAR assessment program.
