Timothy Gavin
Class of 1975
Tim Gavin went from being a standout runner at RM (still holds the mile record of 4:19 in Outdoor Track set in the Spring of 1975) to All-American at Frostburg State College. Tim was inducted to their Hall of Fame in 1985. After graduating from Frostburg, Tim became one of the top distance runners in the USA, sponsored by Brooks Running. Tim continued to be involved with the sport, coaching at Linganore High Scool, Ijamsville, MD from 1997 to 2006. Tim's teams were successful.
