About Me	I continued to be a dairy farmer after I got divorced when my children were little. I sold the cows when my kids were starting to graduate from High School as I didn't want them to farm. I went to college and surprised myself that I was able to graduate Magna cum Laude from UW-Eau Claire with a BS in Nursing. I used to do foster care and respite care for mostly severely handicapped children while farming and I developed a lot of nursing skills with their care, so nursing seemed like a good occupation (certainly paid better than farming!) I am now retired from hospital nursing and working part time at 3 assisted living homes. I still live on the home farmland, (since 1977) but built my dream home (finally!!) on the other side of my land by the woods in 2012. I love the peace and quiet out here and enjoy keeping up a nice home and yard. The grandkids grew up having sleepovers out here and building forts and driving 4 wheelers in the woods and "rock crawling" with them! (A bit hard on the 4 wheelers!) Now they are growing up fast and hunt deer in the woods! I sure miss their baby stages!! I spend my free time refinishing furniture and antiques, cooking and baking for family dinners, working in the yard, having grandchildren over for sleepovers, researching family ancestry, taking photos (of course--I'm a proud NaNa!!), and various church activities.
