About	Samuel R. Clemons [June 21, 1952 - February 15, 2016] COTTAGE GROVE, WI- Samuel R. "Sam" Clemons, age 63 of Cottage Grove, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully, on Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, at UW Hospital. He was born on June 21, 1952 in Rice Lake, WI, the son of Herman and Florence Clemons. Before retirement Sam worked as a Sergeant for the State of Wisconsin Corrections for over 30 years, retiring in 2008. After retirement, he enjoyed much of his time with his grandchildren and loved ones. Sam was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching his favorite sport teams, Louisville Cardinals, Dallas Cowboys, Minnesota Twins and Wisconsin Badgers. He also loved horse racing. Sam was preceded in death by his mother, Florence; and his maternal and paternal grandparents. He is survived by his father, Herman; children, Katie Clemons (Matthew), Kyle Clemons, Melanie (Joe) Puccio; grandchildren, Ceena, Mason and grandbaby on the way; brothers and sister, Tom "Butch" (Linda) Clemons, Lynn Clemons (Becky), Sheri Bronstad (John), Ed (Joanne) Clemons; former wife and good friend, Pat Clemons; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. The family would like to give a special thanks to all the UW Medical teams that helped care for Sam. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
