About	Maurice L. Brunette, 56, Rice Lake, Wis., passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire. He was born June 9, 1952, at Rice Lake to Kenneth and Beth (Fearer) Brunette. He graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1970 and married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Judy Sadowski, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Rice Lake, on July 16, 1971. Maurice served as a foreman for the family business, Brunette Industrial Wood Products. He especially loved being in the woods and logged for much of his life. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting and trapping. He touched all he knew with his humility and compassion and will be deeply missed. Surviving in addition to his loving and devoted wife of 37 years are children, Tammy (Matt) Stone of Chippewa Falls, Tracey (Rick) Miller of Rice Lake and Thomas of Rochester, Minn.; grandchildren, Isabella and Quentin Stone and Isaiah and Hannah Miller; siblings, Kathy Kelnhofer and Craig (Gail), both of Rice Lake, Steve (Wanda) of Canton, LuAnn (Dan) Lathrop and Mark (Sue), both of Rice Lake; many nieces and nephews; and his dear friend, Jim Ritchie of Rice Lake. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, from St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Rice Lake, with Father James Powers officiating. Visitation was held 4-7 p.m. Monday from Jarocki Funeral Home, Rice Lake.
