About Barbara Jean (Coleman) Stodola, age 71, of Kansas City, Missouri danced into the Lord's hands on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was born in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, on 11/19/1952, to Norbert and Leona Coleman. Barbara graduated from Rice Lake HS class of '70. During which time she worked at the Family Restaurant "Grouchies".

On 9/16/72 she married Michael A. Stodola. They moved to Victorville California on George Air Force Base where Mike served. After service the two returned to Wisconsin after increasing their family by two. Aaron Michael born 3/7/1974 and Joshua Robert born 12/24/75. Barbara and Michael divorced in 1981, and she began her hospitality career with the Civic Center Inn in Eau Claire WI. She quickly advanced and was relocated to Green Bay Wisconsin as the Director of Food and Beverage for Embassy Suites.

After 4 years, Barbara and the boys returned to their hometown of Eau Claire WI. She worked many years as Interior Design consultant with Prange's and then some time with Hutchinson Technologies.

Prior to retirement, Barbara was called to change her life and begin a wonderful journey. Together with her son Joshua she stepped out in faith and purchased Rose of Sharon Christian bookstore in Menomonie WI and became a business owner. God was not done with the blessings and gifts she would receive.

In 2019 Barbara moved to Kansas City MO to chaplain for the International House of Prayer (IHOP). Besides her two sons, this endeavor would bring her the greatest joy of her life. As a woman of prayer, she ministered to countless seekers and believers. Sometimes through a word, a prayer, an ear or giving the last two dollars in her purse to someone in need. Barbara's impact on the lives of those around her was profound, and her memory will be held dear by all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we mourn her passing, let us also celebrate the beautiful life she lived, the love she shared, and the light she brought into the world.

Barbara leaves behind a legacy of love and faith that will be forever cherished by her surviving family members: Aaron Stodola (son) Davenport IA, Joshua/Cindy Stodola (son) Eau Claire WI, Amanda Rageth (daughter) Eau Claire WI, Jared/Loretta Rageth (son) Eau Claire WI, Bruce/Nan Coleman (brother), Beverly Sweet (sister), Brenda/Jeff Karker (sister), Bonnie/Randy Lee (sister), Bradley/Andre Coleman (brother), Brian Coleman (brother) and several grand/great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both parents Norbert and Leona Coleman.
Events Service of Burial will be at a later date at Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers or gifts, Barbara would tell you to tithe and give charity when you can, talk to a stranger or hug a loved one, to best honor her.
