| About | CARNEY Michael F. Carney, died Friday, March 7, 2008. He graduated Reynoldsburg High in 1965, where he played first sting football. He graduated the University of South Florida. He ran many marathons including the Boston Marathon. He is predeceased by his parents Donald and Adela Carney. He is survived by his sister, Susan Carney Hazelton; uncles, Jack Carney of Melbourne, Fl and Richard Carney of Columbus, OH.; two aunts in Melbourne, Fl; two nephews; one niece; and many cousins. There will be graveside service at the Melbourne Cemetery, on Hibiscus Blvd. at 10:30 a.m. on March 17th, with an invitation to the home of Susan Hazelton afterwards. I remember Mike as a teammate. He was a fierce competitor on the field and a kind and funny teammate off the field. He always treated underclass teammates with respect. He set an example for his teammates. You could always depend on Mike to do the right thing and set an example for others.
