Served in diesel submarines 5 years, Deep Submergence Vehicles Sea Cliff and Turtle. Officer in Charge/Chief Pilot Turtle. Dove to 10,000 feet off SoCal Coast to certify vehicle. Captain USS Kittiwake (ASR-13) submarine rescue ship. Strategic Systems Progam Office in DC. Chief Staff Officer Ballistic Missile squadron Holy Loch, Scotland. Executive Officer Submarine Base Groton CT. Retired CDR USN after 22+ years

Navy, 20+ Years
Enlisted at age 14 in 1943. Pormoted thru the ranks to chief Quartermaster. Commissioned an officer Jan 1960. retired a Lieutenant Commander in 1974. Served primarily in Destroyers and Submarines. After retiring from naval service continued a sea going life as a captain in the merchant marine for 18 yrs. Completed GED test in 1946 upon completion of WWII. presently living in Encinitas, Calif.
