Enlisted in NDARNG in Dec 1980. Went to boot camp at Ft Dix in May-Jul 1981, AIT at Ft Leonardwood Jan to Apr 1982--came back graduated with class in May 1982. Was in NDARNG 1980 to 1984--received 3 yrs ROTC scholarship at UND and was discharged from NDARNG in 1984. Graduated and commissioned in 1986 from UND. Was on active duty from 1986 to 1995 and went into USAR from 1995 til retirement as LTC in 2010.
