Favorite School Memory	Drama Club, FCA, AP Psych, honors classes, Dead Poets Society in the desert and golf course ... it's late and I'm tired, but they all seem to be good memories!
About Me	So I just looked at everyone else's profile and found out that, those who bothered to even fill in the answers, did not write a novel the way I did. However, I am a writer. What can I say? I attended an awesome, smallish liberal arts college in happening St. Paul/Minneapolis, Minnesota. I spent part of my junior year studying in Spain and also backpacked through Europe for the summer. I graduated with honors and then spent a year teaching English, reading and Spanish at a private school in Tempe. I then spent a year at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in Chicago, covering topics like urban housing, local police and fire and arts reporting. I spent a quarter living in Washington, D.C., working as the Washington correspondent for the daily newspaper in Biloxi, Mississippi. For the last two and a half years I've been a lifestyle features writer for the Pioneer Press, a chain of 64 suburban newspapers. I write about Home & Design, Health & Family and Food and have received several reporting awards. I also work as a consumer advocate for a Chicago Sun-Times column called the Fixer, where we help disgruntled readers deal with their bureaucratic nightmares. I've also stayed very active in my church, whether by teaching kids, helping with young adult activities, or leading women's groups. Being in a church community gives me joy and a family, no matter where I live. I currently live in a very cool apartment in the idyllic city of Evanston, Illinois, just a mile north of the Chicago border and about 10 blocks from Lake Michigan.
