| About Me | After teaching for 35 years, I am now working full time as a project director for the Teaching American History Grant for Rockford Public Schools. I work with teachers in grades 5, 7, 8, and high school who teach US history, providing professional development and setting up workshops for improving literacy and teaching strategies. It is a great job for me since I am responsible for creating our district's history website--and keeping it current!--writing the grant's newsletter every other month, and setting up symposiums with nationally known speakers and historians on topics of interest. When I am not at work, I try to be doing something outdoors! Gardening, running, golf or tennis rate high.
