About	Scott Russell Spence March 22, 1951- January 31, 2015 Scott Spence was born on March 22, 1951 in Portland, Oregon to Jack and Gloria Spence. As the son of an Air Force colonel, Scott grew up on Air Force bases in Massachusetts, Spokane, Puerto Rico, and Hawaii. He graduated from Radford High School in Honolulu, Hawaii. Scott had a deep love and respect for the culture and the people of the Hawaiian Islands and continued to live and work there as a young adult. He developed a love for the guitar while living in Puerto Rico and Hawaii. His love for music and guitars was a life-long passion, as was his desire to serve Jesus with his music. Scott moved to Vancouver, WA in the early 80's, where he met Cindy. They married in 1985 in Seattle. Together, they loved and raised Jason and Brandon to become strong and loving men of God. Scott spent most of his working years in the cabinet manufacturing industry. He served in cabinet production, as HR manager, Dealer Sales Manager and most recently, kitchen designer for Huntwood cabinets. During his years in Seattle, he also managed Mills music store and served as a human resources consultant. Through the years, Scott became a proficient guitarist and enjoyed playing in a small Seattle rock band, as well as serving on the worship teams for both Eastside Foursquare church in Seattle, and Real Life Ministries in Post Falls. Scott was never happier than when he was playing his guitar. Diagnosed with cancer in 1997, Scott began a fierce battle with the disease. His deep and abiding faith allowed him to live with strength, grace and dignity during this very difficult journey. Scott was a gentle spirit. He was a kind, attentive, and loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a devoted friend. He was also a prayer warrior. He prayed daily for each of his children and grandchildren. He would stop and pray for anyone that needed prayer, anytime of the day or night. During his long days at the cancer clinics, he prayed for and with many staff members and patients. He always welcomed a hug. Most of Scott's friends, family and co- workers remember his quick wit and unending sense of humor. His gift for making people laugh and smile will be a cherished memory for all who knew him. Scott is now resting, pain free, in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He will be missed by so many. Scott is survived by wife Cindy, Brother David Spence of Florence, OR, 2 sons Jason & Brandon Quigley, both of Coeur d Alene, ID, and 4 grandchildren. Cindy
