US Air Force Special Operatons Flight Mechanic.
Worked and flew on UH-1N gunships, MH-53J/M Pave Lows, AC-130 Gunships. Trained for 2nd hostage attempt, Grenada, Carribean and South American Drug Task Force, Advisor to Sudanese conflict with Chad, Desert Sheild/Storm.

Entered USMC in June 1973 after graduation. Military Police Training at Fort Leonardwood, MS. Quantico Marine Base 73-74. Attended Embassy Security School at Henderson Hall, Washington, DC. Assigned to American Embassy in Ankara, Turkey for 18 months. Promoted to Sergeant and transferred to American Embassy on Madrid, Spain until discharged May 1977.

A-7 Corsair and Fathom Ejection Seat/Pilot Survival MOS-Squadron was attached to the USS Oriskany (John McCain POW off this ship) Served aboard as part of historical CAG-19 AirGroup for two 11 month cruises to Vietman-two weeks in Da Nang Airbase in 1972.

Our Radford High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Radford High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated.
