The Reunion Committee is planning a full weekend of activities that we hope you will enjoy ...or strike out on your own to revisit your favorite haunts from long ago. We have contacted over 350 classmates so far, with positive responses of yes and maybe from over 250 classmates

Enjoy a "Classmates Only" gathering, to be determined.
SATURDAY
We are arranging for some optional group activities and also giving you the chance to go out on your own for shopping or visiting tourist attractions in the area, We are working on a list of possible activities.

Saturday will be capped of with the REUNION @ Meadows Club, 5 to 11 PM !

We are looking into an optional "So Long For Now" Breakfast

The 1974 graduating class of Prospect High School, Mt. Prospect, IL will Re-U-Knight as they celebrate the 40th Reunion of the class with activities on August 1 & 2, 2014. From a tour of Prospect High School, to a day at the races, to a night on the town, there is something for everyone interested in reconnecting with former classmates. Friday, August 1
1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Tour of Prospect High School. Walk the halls, locate your old locker, check out the theater, sit on “the ledge,” visit the field house or the old “smoking lot,” etc. The committee has arranged for the ’74 graduates to stroll around Prospect to reminisce and relive the good times.
1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
All interested graduates and their families are welcome to join fellow classmates at Arlington Park International Race Course, 2200 W. Euclid Avenue, Arlington Heights, IL. General Admission opens at 11:00 am but we’ll meet at 1:00 pm and the first race will be at 3:00 pm. There is no charge other than taking care of your own admission, food and beverage. The Prospect Reunion Committee will have signs posted so classmates can gather in the same section to enjoy the races.

Everyone is invited to stop by for a drink, music and munchies at classmate Mike Barra’s establishment, Mac’s On Slade at 117 W. Slade Street, Palatine, IL, 847-907-9621. Food and drinks will be on an individual basis.

The main event of the weekend will take place at the Metropolis Ballroom, 6 S. Vail Street, Arlington Heights, IL. Tickets are $75 per person if paid by June 1. Tickets may be purchased after June 1 for $90 per person and will be $100 if purchased at the door. Interested classmates can help the committee meet financial obligations by purchasing tickets by February 28, 2014.
The ticket price includes a printed booklet with updated contact information for the Class of ’74 plus two drink tickets and multiple food and carving stations for a variety of meal choices. “We wanted to provide a less formal atmosphere with more food options than you might have at a formal sit-down dinner,” said reunion committee chair Kevin Kelley. “We’re a pretty social group and wanted to make it easier for everyone to move around the room and visit with as many friends as possible.”
In addition to the two drink tickets included in the ticket price, a cash bar will be available with domestic and imported beers, as well as wines, mixed drinks and premium liquor from $5 to $7. A compilation of tunes from the 70’s will play throughout the evening and any special requests for a favorite song should be sent to Mike Barone, mbarone@mc.net by March 1. According to Barone, “we’ll be playing the Billboard Hot Singles from 1970, 71, 72, 73 and 74; the years we were in school.”
