Air Force, 20+ Years
Served during Vietnam era. Participated in the first wave of "Operation Rolling Thunder", March 1965, involving hundreds of fighter and tanker aircraft staging from Guam, attacking Vietnam from the air. Retired as a Chief Master Sargeant (E9), Aircraft Maintenance Superintendant after 26 years.

Commissioned as a Regular Officer in 1982. Retired as a major selectee in 1992 to take a position with U.S. Department of Energy. Numerous awards include four Meritorious Service Medals, two Air Force Commendation Medals, expert marksman, three Air Force Outstanding Unit Citations, theater ribbons and numerous others. Enlisted positions included combat controller and communications technician. Officer-level positions included assorted engineering assignments and faculty duty at the Air Force Institute of Technology.
Vietnam would be free today if our government had let us do what we could have........
