Joseph M. Hernandez, 29, a former Port Huron resident, died Saturday, September 27, 1980, in Detroit after a car accident.
Mr. Hernandez was a eight-year veteran of the Detroit Police Department-Tactical Service Section.
He was born July 29, 1951, in Port Huron. He married Maria Ruiz on September 11, 1971, in Port Huron.
He was a 1970 graduate of Port Huron High School and was a runner on the track team.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Trisha and Elena, both of Detroit; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Noberto Barron, Port Huron; six sisters, Mary Hernandez, Betty Gonzales, Yolanda Galvin, and Gloria, Carol, and Iris Barron, all of Port Huron; and three brothers, Robert Barron, Florida, and Richard and Ignacio Barron, both of Port Huron.
