About Me	If you don't believe in something, then you will die for nothing. My main goal in life is to leave the world a better place than I found it. Greetings! After high school, I lived a greatly varied life. Tried Northern Oklahoma College for one year and gave up; Married my high school sweetheart; raced motocross for several years; divorced high school sweetheart (found we were just really good friends, but nothing "more"); played night clubs with several bands; joined the Army for 2 years; found second wife; went to work for Conoco in R&D, then Geophysics, then Telecommunications divisions (almost 17 years); had a daughter; crew chiefed for 2nd wife's open wheel car racing career; divorced second wife (found we were going separate ways); worked communications for the NFL for several super bowls; worked communications for two indy car races in Denver; worked communications for several Colorado State Winter Special Olympics events; worked with each Ponca City elementary school to design and install sound systems in each one as well as East Jr. High, the High School and the field house; finally found the right wife (3rd time was a charm-the previous wives were training so I would appreciate the right one when she came along!); enjoyed horses and llamas for a few years; played several years with the Good Ol'Boys band (incredible, talented musicians); worked for Warner Brothers for several months during the shooting of the movie "Twister;" was downsized from Conoco; gained enough insight and inspiration to return to college and graduated from OSU with my EE; joined the U.S. Department of State in Diplomatic Security and traveled the world engineering security systems for consulates and embassies for several years (including living in Moscow for 2 years, and in Kuala Lumpur for 3 years); received 3 meritorious honor awards for special activities; returned to Washington DC as a Branch Chief over Technical Surveillance Countermeasures; joined the National Nuclear Security Administration (Department of Energy) where I engineered and oversaw the implementation of security systems and new security technologies for the largest U.S. Government test site and the protection of classified nuclear weapons and other classified development programs. I received the Excellence Honor Award from the U.S. Secretary of Energy for my innovative security technology programs in a formal ceremony in Washington DC in January 2009, and I was honored with being named the Security Professional of the Year for 2010 by the National Nuclear Security Administration; I spent a year living in Washington DC so I could attend and graduate from National Defense University in June 2014 with my Master of Arts in Strategic Security Studies, including writing a thesis. This school is colloquially referred to as the U.S. Government War College, and is a senior government leadership development school. After over 12 years living in Las Vegas, NV I retired from Government service and have moved back to my childhood home of Ponca City, OK. Been blessed with and married to wife #3 for over 30 years.
